Gambaga College of Education, a reputable public tertiary institution dedicated to the training of professional teachers, invites applications from qualified, experienced, and visionary individuals for the position of college principal.
Qualification and Experience
The applicant must:
- Hold a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in a relevant field of Education.
- Be of a rank not below Associate Professor in a College of Education, University, or a comparable tertiary institution.
- Have significant post-qualification teaching and/or research experience in a tertiary institution.
- Demonstrate proven leadership skills and the ability to inspire and lead a team.
- Be a distinguished scholar with the capacity to motivate and direct staff.
- Exhibit a high sense of integrity, strong organizational ability, and be above reproach.
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to manage crisis situations.
- Demonstrate fairness and impartial judgement in decision-making.
- Show the ability to attract research and development grants for the advancement of the college.
Terms of Appointment
- Applicants must not be more than 55 years old at the time of application.
- The appointment shall be in accordance with the Harmonized Scheme of Service and Conditions of Service for Colleges of Education, as well as relevant Ministry of Education and Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC) guidelines.
- Salary and conditions of service are competitive and comparable to similar positions in Ghana.
- The appointment is renewable once, subject to satisfactory performance.
